Who wouldn’t want to ski for FREE?

Snowsports England has been tasked with increasing participation in skiing and snowboarding in the UK. In order to do so, they have launched an initiative to encourage more people to hit the slopes before the snow starts to fall, (though it already has been across Europe).

So, this is how you can ski for free

The initiative, 30 Days of Snowsports, has been running for the past 4 years and offers free and discounted sessions for all abilities and ages at indoor snow centres, dry ski slopes, snow-sport clubs and roller ski venues across the country.

In 2017 alone over 6,000 people took advantage of the sessions. That’s a lot of skiing! Now after our incredible athletes record-breaking success at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, Snowsports England organisers are hoping to get even more people inspired and give snowsports a try.

The initiative has been running since October 1 and continues until October 30. With over 300 sessions on offer, ranging from skiing, snowboarding, cross country and roller skiing, there is something for everyone to try.

See the full list of sessions and discounts available at goskigoboard.org.uk and most importantly, go out and give it a go! Who knows, you or your children could turn out to be the next Winter Olympians!

More ways to get inspired

Later this month some of the athletes from the British team will be at The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Festival, held in Battersea Park, taking part in Q&A sessions and meeting fans – all in an effort to boost the popularity of skiing and snowboarding in the UK.
